Technology and Internet Leaders in San Francisco Bay Area -
SAN FRANCISCO (August 21, 2001) -Marino Inc., founders of Audio Alley, today
announced that it is celebrating its second anniversary. Audio
Alley, a community of online music and audio-related companies,
entrepreneurs, artists, labels, music fans and Internet companies,
comes together monthly to advance the adoption of digital music
through panel discussions, dialogue, as well as marketing and
civic initiatives. Since its inception in 1999, Audio Alley (http://www.audioalley.com)
has been supported by companies that are located in the San Francisco
Bay Area-a mecca of music and technology innovation. Audio Alley
supporters have included MTVi, AOL Spinner, Gavin Magazine, Listen.com,

The producers of the Audio Alley monthly
mixers, Marino Inc. and Brian Webster and Associates, are celebrating
the organization's second anniversary on August 21, 2001, at
Minna Street Gallery, 111 Minna Street in San Francisco, 6:00-9:00
p.m. Tonight's party is sponsored by Gavin (http://www.gavin.com), the most trusted name
in radio since it was founded more than 40 years ago.
"The San Francisco Bay Area is home
to some of the world's great innovators in technology, music
and the Internet," explained Marianna Marino of Marino Inc.
who founded Audio Alley with her sister Susie Marino. "Every
month these creative forces come together for the Audio Alley
mixers to not only exchange ideas but get some business done.
Tonight at the Audio Alley 2nd Anniversary Party we're taking
a moment to honor the innovation in online music and celebrate
the progress toward commercial viability."
"Especially now, it's essential for
all sectors of the entertainment and Internet industries to come
together on a regular basis to exchange ideas," said Gavin
Business and Media Editor Doug Wyllie, who covers the nexus of
the record, radio, and technology industries. "Audio Alley
brings much-needed attention and offers cohesiveness to this
vital sector."
In the coming year, Audio Alley will continue

to host informal discussions on mission critical issues like
digital rights management, satellite radio and subscription models.
