What is Audio Alley?
Audio Alley is a group of online music and audio-related companies focused on creating a platform for Internet companies, artists, labels and fans to come together to participate in the next evolution of online music and audio.

How did the phrase Audio Alley come to be?
Last summer, FX Nuttall, founder of AudioSoft, noticed that many online music and audio companies were located in the same area of San Francisco—around parts of Potrero Hill, SOMA and the Mission. He dubbed what he saw 'Audio Alley'. Marino Inc. then created the Audio Alley Advisory Committee.

What is the Audio Alley Committee?
To give the phrase, Audio Alley, a lasting and impactful voice, Marino Inc. founded the Audio Alley Committee in August 1999. The Committee is dedicated:
• to shining a national spotlight on online music and audio innovation.
• to improving member companies' community relations, networking possibilities and marketing opportunities.

The Happy Hours were formed so that participating companies could network in a relaxed and fun environment, as well as satisfy their desire to create a platform for 'giving back.' Through Happy Hour donations, the Committee has raised money for The San Francisco Food Bank and The Potrero Hill Neighborhood House.

How does a company become a member?
The Committee is actively expanding membership to online music and audio companies worldwide. Companies who are interested in this opportunity should contact questions@audioalley.org or 415-547-7766. More information will be available soon on this site.
